Below you'll find directions for mapping the Bagua on your space. It is crucial to map it accurately so as to not create further energy blocks.

- Mapping the Bagua accurately is crucial. Without this, you could be setting up conflict in your space.
- Your home is a metaphor for your life. When you know where the different aspects of your life are represented you can be intentional about creating your life.
- What's going on in your Wealth & Prosperity area - what does this tell you about your life?
The Bagua Map is a tool for determining where different aspects of your life are represented in your home or office.
First sketch a floor plan of your home. You can do this by pacing out the distance - it doesn't need to be exact but the more it's to scale the better. Draw a square or rectangle around the outside walls. If your home is a regular shape, the whole space will be contained within your square or rectangle.
If it's an irregular shape, such as an 'L' shape there will be missing areas.
Next divide each side of your box into 3. Join the lines so you have 9 equal areas within your home. You will have a square or rectangle similar to the Bagua Map on this page.
Turn your page so that the front door is in either the Knowledge & Self-Cultivation area, the Career area or the Helpful People & Travel area. From here you can locate the other areas. From your front door, the Wealth & Prosperity area will be in the far left corner and the Relationship area will be in the far right.
In addition, you can map the Bagua on any room in your home. It is especially useful in your office or bedroom.

Bagua Mapping: have the Bagua mapped accurately on your space and learn what to do with missing areas
We recently decided to sell our house and Vicky suggested that we may want to ‘Feng Shui’ it in order to help sell quickly and for top dollar. Our house had a lot of challenges, but we proceeded to follow Vicky's suggestions. I am still astonished to say that we sold in four days and for twelve thousand dollars more than the price we would have been happy to receive for it! With changes like these, I can’t wait to get her in to ‘Feng Shui’ my new house!
Once you have the Bagua Map on your floor plan you can use it in a variety of ways.
- You can choose an area of your life you would like to enhance, and make an enhancement in that area. Remember that clutter in any area will be affecting you, and ideally you would balance the whole space.
- You can take a look at where the majority of your clutter is and see which area of the Bagua it falls in. Can you see the connection between the location of your clutter and what is happening in your life?
- Your environment impacts your life. If you are concerned about a particular aspect of your life you can now go to that area of your home or office and act like a detective - what is happening here. Do you have a cat litter box in your Wealth & Prosperity area for example.
The different areas of the Bagua are:
Career - relates to life purpose, career.
Knowledge & Self Cultivation - personal growth, spirituality, education, peace of mind.
Health & Family - relates to your health, and relationships between family members in your nuclear family and your family of choice.
Wealth & Prosperity - represents wealth, abundance and gratitude.
Fame & Reputation - deals with your reputation in the community, integrity, being well known.
Love & Relationships - relates to relationships with significant others, relationships at work and with friends.
Creativity & Children - creativity, children and mental clarity.
Helpful People & Travel - clients, mentors, people who give you referrals, synchronicity, travel.
Center - harmony, balance, being centered.
Each area of the Bagua is interconnected with the others, so you need to pay attention to all areas, to have a balance of energy flowing through your space.
There is no hiding in Feng Shui. Clutter or imbalance anywhere will be affecting you. If you move your clutter to the attic or to the garden shed, it will still be affecting you.
Once you have the Bagua placed accurately on your home, office or a room, you can learn a lot about yourself and how your environment is affecting all aspects of your life. The Bagua Map will give you the tools to make choices and create an environment that will support you in being your authentic self and reaching your highest aspirations.
